Anger Management- What Works And What Does Not

Anger Management does not work because people can't stand being managed. However Anger Avoidance as taught in a Manualized Cognitive Restructuring Workbook actually does work. The following story is an example of what an Anger Avoidance Cognitive Lifeskills Workbook would include.

Jason had multiple reasons to explode in anger just as Cord did. He could have broken bones, punched guts, striked faces, bruised breasts or kicked ribs, but he held back.

Shelly, like many women who were sexually molested when they were young, could have opted to be an out-of-the-box, active person, but she wouldn't. She continually fed her deep-seated anger. She wasted most of her life poisoning every person she met. With an MBA and working in a supervisory position in a large manufacturing company, she treated her workers with disdain. She believed that they were all incompetent and had to be watched closely and told exactly what to do. She degraded and marginalized them while feigning to be concerned and interested in their success.
